About GVS
Gramin Vikas Sansthan (GVS) is a not-for-profit organization established in 1989 at Hathini Mau, Uttar Pradesh. The organization is dedicated to working with marginalized communities, empowering them to lead dignified lives through social, economic, and political upliftment. Registered as a society in 1989, GVS has been actively engaging in grassroots-level interventions across multiple districts in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Vision & Mission:
GVS envisions a society where marginalized communities, especially women, children, and adolescents, are empowered with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to break free from cycles of injustice, vulnerability, and marginalization. The mission of GVS is to mobilize and educate communities while providing them with access to essential resources for holistic development.
Areas of Operation:
GVS is currently working in 43 districts of Uttar Pradesh, focusing on community mobilization, capacity building, and financial strengthening of partner organizations. The organization has a strong grassroots presence in the following districts:
